Instructions and Help about electrical panel template form
All right so now that we have our square d electrical panel put in the wall we've got it in a 2×4 wall into the garage here we have all of our number 12 and number 10 we have a number 6 wire running in we've run it to our panel location, and then we have this aluminum service entrance cable that we've run into the panel as well rated at 200 amps, and it's a 200 amp panel now that we've got out that all done we put in this board at the top, so we can now see that in the video got this nailed board here, so we can staple all the wires and keep them organized and have them secured which you have to have them secured within I think 12 inches up the panel anyway where we're at but the next thing we got to do is take our utility knife we're going to strip some insulation off of this service entrance cable this aluminum wire, and we're going to put our two legs here are two black hot wires on the plugs on the side this configuration has a center wire for the neutral as an N noting that on the panel, and then we're going to have our ground tie-in to this ground rod over here whenever you're working with aluminum on the electrical panel you're always going to want to use this product called no locks actually I think you're required to have it on there what it's going to do it's going to act as a conductor between the aluminum which can expand and contract depending on temperature and the both the disk tearing, so you just put a little on the end there before you tighten it down then you want to tighten it down really hard to you don't want that metal expanding or contracting and coming loose and arcing inside your panel, so it's just no locks you can pick it up it like Home Depot Lowe's or any like hardware store that sells electrical supplies yeah, so I'll show you how that gets put on right here alright we've got all of our aluminum conductors put in the panel we've got our two 120 volts each we have our one leg it's black our one leg that's black with a red line those reach 120 volts there and then our black white is going to be our neutral or our return path, and we have our ground which is right here, so we have our grounding strip which is all for all the copper wires are going to land are all bit the bare copper wires from our romance and our wives are going to land on these two strips on the sides and then our hots are going to be attached to the breaker on each one of these breaker bars breaker buses we've done there now next thing I'm going to do is get all these using these Rome connectors I'm going to attach all these Rome these different lines running throughout the house into the panel or go to knockouts fear we're going to knock those out if we throw my tech just put it in that then start stripping and landing some of those runs you there's a couple different options for stripping the wire what I'm going to do for these I got these roaming strippers actually have a notch that fits perfectly over the row max see the shape of that room...
